This is a song I wrote about from a memory that’s stuck with me for a long time about my teenage days and how it felt to connect with someone for the first time.

After a night out we split up from the rest of our friends and ended up talking for hours together and having so much fun together but also relaxing until we fell asleep by the lake. So it’s kind of like a retelling of a personal experience but I’m hoping you can all relate in some way or another. ☺️ 

Where I was when I wrote the song.

The song was wrote in a few different places over time. And I actually started writing the song in my garden first after feeling really inspired to write something new.
By the time I went outside it was pretty dark so I couldn’t sing or play too loudly but the moon and the stars were out and this memory from my life came flooding back so I decided to start writing the song. ☺️

In the next few days I actually drove to a to a lake nearby in Ferry Meadows Peterborough and it really helped to jog some more memories and helped inspire me to write more and recall more from the night itself. 

Then the last few details and changes were made in the Studio with my producer where the song was brought to life and really brings me back to that moment when I listened to it.
